The left room

As you enter this room, you find that there is an abundance of moonlight coming through the small window at the edge of the room.

You step lightly among the dust-covered, blanketed furniture. You try to pull the cover off a large piece of stationary at the far side of the room. The blanket doesn’t budge. However, as you pull the blanket the door to the room slams shut. You hear the movement of gears coming from the door.

You rush back and try, futilely, to twist the handle in a way that will open the door.

The gear sound in the door continues to spin, and slowly, you become attuned to a louder grinding sound from behind you. You turn around and see the back wall getting closer to you. Your spatial awareness has not abandoned you and you recognize that it is actually the wall  you are leaned against that is moving.

You panic! You run in circles. You push against the advancing wall. Nothing you do will halt the inexorable advance of the large slab of crushing defeat.

Your last thought is “I hope it crushes all the boxes
